Lars-Erik Borge
On May 8, IMFG presented a talk with Lars-Erik Borge entitled, The Role of Local Governments in a Unitary Welfare State: The Case of Norway. Borge is Professor of Economics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. Borge has published extensively in academic journals, and has also conducted applied policy research. He has chaired committees on intergovernmental grants and taxation, and since 2000, has chaired the committee that monitors local public finances in Norway. Borge is a former IMFG visiting scholar.
