What Makes a Resilient City?
September 14, 2017 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Every city wants to build its urban resilience and grow its capacity to absorb future shocks and stresses. How do local governments create cities that are resilient to the environmental, social, and economic challenges of the 21st century? What can Canadian cities do to become more resilient and inclusive? What does a made-for-Toronto resilience strategy look like? What ideas and innovative solutions can be applied from elsewhere?
On September 14, 2017, a panel of Chief Resilience Officers joined the IMFG as they discussed what they have learned and looked ahead to the future.
Speakers included:
Elliott Cappell, Chief Resilience Officer, City of Toronto
Louise Bradette, Chief Resilience Officer, City of Montreal
Daniel Zarrilli, Chief Resilience Officer, New York City
The event was moderated by Otis Rolley, Regional Director, City and Practice Management, North America, 100 Resilient Cities.
This event is co-sponsored by IMFG and 100 Resilient Cities, Pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation.
