IMFG Director Enid Slack participated in workshops entitled “Trends in Property Taxation in Canada,” “The Role of the Property Tax In Local Government,“ “How to Reform the Property Tax: Challenges and Opportunities,” and “Policy Considerations for the Property Tax: Challenges and Solutions – Interactive Panel Discussion” at the International Property Tax Institute’s 13th Annual Mass Appraisal Valuation Symposium: Global Excellence: Local Confidence on June 5-6 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr. Slack provided insights on the challenges of property taxation for local governments and strategies for creating property tax policies.
