Piali Roy
Administrative and Communications Assistant
Piali Roy is the Administrative and Communications Assistant at IMFG. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked in both media and communications, including the public policy program within the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy as well as the Maytree Foundation.
At the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, she managed the communications for the amalgamation of the School of Public Policy and Governance with the Munk School of Global Affairs. She worked at the Maytree Foundation with a specific focus on the Cities of Migration project. Piali has also written for publications such as The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star and Maclean’s. She has been a contributor to a number of radio documentaries for CBC Radio One’s Ideas program, including one for fall of 2020 on the life of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, an Indian constitutionalist and Dalit leader. Piali holds an Honours B.A. and M.A. from the University of Toronto.
